General Information
Virginia Baptist College is committed to providing a Christian educational environment in which all individuals seek to promote a respect for the Word of God. Each person can expect to work or study in a professional atmosphere that promotes Christlikeness. VBC provides a quality Bible college education for working adults who remain in their local churches, serving and growing under the ministry of their pastors. Fulfilling this unique purpose requires creative approaches.
Working adults who are actively serving in their churches find a friend in the VBC class schedule. Most classes meet one evening each week for a two- or three-period session. Classes meet on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings – not interfering with most church activity schedules.
- VIDEO CONFERENCING CENTERS
Virginia Baptist College offers classes through video conferencing centers sponsored by cooperating local churches, allowing students to take classes in their home churches or nearby churches. A student attending one of these centers is present in real-time in the class through high quality audio and video.
The technology supports fully interactive discussion and instant document exchange. A student who takes classes at a video conferencing center is not watching a pre-taped lecture; he is participating in a class where the instructor may be at one location and the students at several others.
For those who desire the convenience and flexibility of taking classes on their own schedules, VBC offers a number of on-line classes that may be taken for personal enrichment or to fulfill degree requirements.
